WHAT TO PACK FOR YOUR AFRICAN SAFARI

Your Insider's Safari Packing Guide

For a successful African safari, pack comfortable, neutral-coloured clothing, sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, sunglasses, binoculars, and a first-aid kit, while leaving behind bright colours, heavy jewellery, and anything that might attract unwanted attention.

What to Pack

 Clothing:

Neutral Colours: opt for earthy tones like khaki, brown, olive, and beige to blend in with the environment. Lightweight and Breathable Fabrics: Choose cotton, linen, or other natural fabrics to stay cool in the heat. Long Sleeves: Protect yourself from the sun and insects with long-sleeved shirts and pants. Layering: Pack a fleece or windbreaker for cooler mornings and evenings. Comfortable Footwear: Bring sturdy walking shoes or boots, and consider a pair of sandals or flip-flops. Socks and Underwear: Pack enough for the duration of your trip.

       Essentials:

ü Sun Protection: Sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher), a hat, and sunglasses.

ü Insect Repellent: Use an eco-friendly insect repellent to ward off mosquitoes and other biting insects.

ü Binoculars: Essential for spotting wildlife from a distance.

ü First-Aid Kit: Include essentials like bandages, antiseptic wipes, pain relievers, and any necessary medications.

ü Toiletries: Pack travel-sized toiletries like toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, and wet wipes.

ü Head Torch or Flashlight: Useful for navigating around camp at night.

ü Camera and Chargers: Capture the amazing wildlife and scenery.

ü Day Backpack: A small backpack for carrying essentials during game drives and excursions.

ü Hand Sanitizer and Facemask: For hygiene and safety.
