6-Day Amboseli/ Naivasha/Nakuru/Masai Mara

Day 1: Amboseli national park

Upon arrival in Kenya, you will drive to Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch. You can spend the afternoon at leisure. In the late afternoon, you will go for your first game drive. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging African elephants and other wildlife species. The ecosystem is mainly savannah grassland spread across the Kenya-Tanzania border. Other attractions of the park include opportunities to meet the Masai and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak and freestanding mountain in the world. Even though the majestic Kilimanjaro is located in Tanzania, the best view of it is in Amboseli National Park, strategically located at the foot of the mountain. From the prehistoric site of Observation Hill, the sunset over Mount Kilimanjaro is magnificent. Sopa Lodge
